Doctoral-level framework for career change after 40

Step into Meaningful Work While Keeping Your Income

I help high-achieving professionals in their 40s and 50s who feel stuck in unfulfilling careers take smart steps towards the meaningful work they know they’re meant to do without sacrificing everything they’ve worked for.

You Know What You Want—But You’re Not Doing It

Golden handcuffs are real. You’ve created a lifestyle that neither you nor your family can imagine giving up—or even rethinking.

You’re afraid of failure. You believe that you wouldn’t be able to succeed in your second act.

You feel exhausted and burned out. You worry that taking that leap would drain even more of your energy than your current, unfulfilling job.

✔ You’re afraid to let go of security. After decades in a high-paying role, the idea of starting over—and potentially putting your reputation on the line—feels terrifying.

Midlife Career Change GOALS™

Midlife Career Change - GROUP COACHING

The 5-Step, Reversible Roadmap to Your Calling-Inspired Career

✅ 1. Your Corporate Identity vs Who You Are at the Core

Your performance and compensation metrics have shaped you into someone who is now dissatisfied with their career—and life. We’ll address those dimensions of your identity that you’re not utilizing—whose absence is the root cause of a career crisis.

✅ 2. Your Mental & Emotional Blocks

We’ll craft practical midlife career pivot strategies that protect your financial stability, security, and family life.

✅ 3. Your Authentic Personal Brand

We’ll develop a compelling story that positions you and your offerings—not someone else’s—as a solution that kills the pain or creates new opportunities.

✅ 4. Your Energy Levels

We’ll audit your lifestyle for tweaks that will invigorate you so that your passion and purpose, not caffeine and chronic stress from the need to over-achieve, fuel your professional and personal lives.

✅ 5. Strategy Implementation

One milestone at a time.

Why This Works

You’ve been told: ❌ “If it were easy, everyone would do it.”

✅ Truth: Most high-achieving professionals can think of low-risk pathways, yet they’re still hesitant. Without inner alignment, it’s virtually impossible to take the risk that feels even higher at midlife.

You keep telling yourself: ❌ “I’m too old to start over.”

✅ Truth: Most midlife career pivots don’t require starting from scratch. You have decades of experience, a network, and skills to recognize what works and what doesn’t. Besides, many successful entrepreneurs launch their best businesses in their 40s and 50s—age actually makes the process easier.

You know: ❌ “My spouse will panic if I leave my stable employment.”

✅ Truth: Your partner’s fears can chain your career, or their faith can help you change it. The key is to change careers gradually. You don’t need to burn bridges; you can build a parallel income stream before fully committing. Ask yourself: “How would my career satisfaction impact my family life?”

Case Study: From Executive to Culinary Entrepreneur – A Midlife Career Change Journey

Brenda, an accomplished executive in her 50s, spent her entire career in Fortune 500 companies. She had achieved everything she wanted professionally and enjoyed a comfortable life. Yet, despite her success, Brenda felt stuck and unfulfilled. Her true passion? Cooking and baking—creating authentic culinary experiences that go beyond family and friends.

For years, Brenda knew this was her calling, but fear held her back. Each morning, she woke up with a nagging sense that joy had slipped away. Even with a healthy lifestyle and strong support network, she lacked energy and motivation. Like many professionals considering a career change after 50, Brenda had questions:

  • What if I fail?
  • What if I can’t attract customers?
  • How will this affect my family and reputation?

The Challenge

Brenda’s biggest obstacle wasn’t clarity—she knew what she wanted. It was the fear of starting over and the risk of failure. She needed a career change roadmap to move from idea to action.

The Coaching Process

During our Midlife Career Change Blueprint session, we worked through her fears and created a plan for the next 30 days:

  • Explore Opportunities: Research culinary courses and credentials to build confidence.
  • Expand Horizons: Plan a trip to Hudson Valley, NY—a hub for culinary excellence (as I had just returned from my vacation there and sampled some of their culinary delights)—to spark inspiration and connections.
  • Document the Journey: Start a journal to capture insights and maintain focus.
  • Market Research: Identify the best avenue to introduce her culinary creations to her ideal audience.
  • Set SMART Goals for her Midlife Career Reinvention: Specific, measurable steps to build momentum.

The Outcome

Brenda left the session feeling empowered and excited about her next chapter. With a clear career change strategy, she began taking courses and planning her culinary venture.

About Olga

You’ve worked hard, built a career, and checked all the boxes—but something still feels off. Deep down, you know you’re meant to do more. You have an idea of what you want to do, but your feet are not moving in that direction. I get it—because I’ve been there.

I’ve walked this path myself. After years of ignoring my intuition, I finally listened—and that decision changed everything. Embracing my life’s purpose—guiding high-performing men and women to their best workwas a process.

It all started 10 years ago, when I began teaching business and project management. Some of my students were in their 40s and 50s. They had a midlife identity crisis and felt trapped in careers they no longer found meaningful. They worried that their age limited their options. They were physically and mentally burned out, unfulfilled, and unsure how to make a midlife change without losing their income and stability.

I saw this pattern often enough that I decided to develop a doctoral-level framework—one that treats midlife career change like an advanced business case study. My framework is about designing a new business model for yourself—one that starts with some soul-searching, leverages your decades of experience, and is within your comfort zone so that you don’t give up before you find your flow.

As a Midlife Career Change Coach, I work with professionals in their 40s and 50s who feel trapped in careers that look fine on the outside but feel empty inside. They’re not looking for another corporate ladder to climb—they want freedom, autonomy, impact, and spiritual realignment with who they are.

I employ strategic thinking, psychological insight, and intuitive guidance to help you create a practical, risk-aware plan to guide you through your career pivot. I go deeper than resume tweaks, networking, or finding a new job—and I don’t recommend quitting everything at once.

What I bring to the table:

Educator, Coach, & Mentor: For 12 years, I’ve been in Higher Education, shaping academic programs, developing curriculum, and teaching business and project management. I create inclusive spaces where students of diverse ages and backgrounds can explore their purpose and passions and think independently.

Strategy & Execution: Managing projects and helping organizations and individuals navigate change.

Broad Perspective: Prior to academia, I’ve worked in process improvement, marketing & communications, trade promotion, media, and a news agency.

Credentials: Doctorate in Business Administration, MA in English & American Studies, Project Management Professional (PMP).

But most importantly, I know what it’s like to do work that doesn’t feel meaningful—and I know how to move forward.

Testimonials

“Olga is one of those women who stir your soul and bring fire to your heart. She is going to tell you exactly what you need to hear to shake you at your core and move you forwards along your journey. From personal reflections about your character to actionable directions for future growth and momentum, a short conversation with her will reveal many aspects of your self and the work to be done.

I have referred back to the blueprint a number of times and the number of items that resonate continues to grow. I have taken strides to improving my relationships, to dedicating myself to creative dance and rooting myself in ceremony and tradition. These paths are just beginning to take shape for me as I continue to forge a light out of the darkness in my past.

Having been in a position to only do a blueprint with her, I cannot speak to the benefits of a long term relationship, however I can imagine that such a journey would be bountiful.”
